Michael Russo - Experienced Physical Therapist and Hoboken Councilor
Michael Russo is a Hoboken, New Jersey city councilman, a human resources worker, and a doctor with an physical therapy license in several states as well as an active license in New Jersey. He is city council vice president and also belongs to multiple municipal leadership groups, including the Hospital Authority, Cannabis Review Board, and Insurance Commission. Michael Russo is also a past member of the Hoboken Zoning Board of Adjustment.
Since 2020, Michael Russo has worked in HR at the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission, where he provides support for employee benefits, talent recruitment and onboarding, and project management. As a physical therapist, he owned NJIB, a Bayonne practice, from 2018 to 2022 and has served in director roles at The New Jersey Institute of Balance, Millburn Physical Therapy, Sundance Rehab, and the Browntown Wellness Center.
He holds doctoral and master's degrees in physical therapy from Utica University and Rutgers University, respectively, and graduated with honors from both. He received a bachelor of science in biology from Stockton University, where he was a member of Zeta Beta Tau. He's a member of the Madeline Fiadini Lore Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to cancer prevention.
